PURPOSE: A microwave oven displayer is provided to transmit light to the LCD(liquid crystal display) uniformly by improving the structure of the display unit showing the state of the microwave oven. CONSTITUTION: A display device is composed of a circuit board(31) having a control unit; an LCD(32) showing the state of the microwave oven by the control unit; an LED(light emitting diode)(330) opposite to the both rear sides of the LCD emitting the light by the signal from the control unit; a semitransparent member between the LED and the LCD and transmitting the light of the LED to the LCD while having the light transmissivity in the center portion from the opposite portion to the LED; and a holder member supporting the LCD and the semitransparent member, and having a light transmitting passage(361) transmitting the light from the LED to the entire LCD. An LSI(large scale integration)(31a) generates the magnetron to cook food in the cooking chamber on selecting a mode. The LED installed in the both sides of the circuit board emits the light to the LCD by the LSI. The light is transmitted to the center portion of the LCD through the light transmitting passage in an LCD holder(360), and an acrylic member is mounted between the LCD and the LCD holder. The acrylic member is getting thinner to the center portion of the LCD and transmits the light through the acrylic member to the entire LCD uniformly.
