PURPOSE: Disclosed are techniques to manufacture a lamp base at low cost, in which an electric bulb which uses a normal-type screw base has a base comprising a conductive eyelet portion and two conductive screw portions that are spaced away from each other and combined with each other by a glass insulator, where such a base is usually manufactured on an automatic apparatus which uses a glass heating furnace for forming the insulation and connecting each conductive part, and the base occupies a large part of a total cost in which cost of heating and melting of the glass, cost for maintaining the glass heating furnace contribute to the cost of the base. CONSTITUTION: The lamp base according to the present invention is formed of an insulation material(12) for the base for a luminous electric lamp comprising a body which is formed of a thermoplastic material and is electrically insulated, a first surface(14), a second surface(16) spaced away from the first surface, and a sidewall(18) which separates the first surface from the second surface. |
