PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat emitter which is inexpensive, power-saving, has uniform and bright illumination, and is free from flickers. SOLUTION: This flat emitter is provided with a plurality of LEDs 211,..., 221,..., 231,..., and 236, a plurality of enclosing type optical media 111,..., 121,..., 131,..., and 136 which enclose the plurality of the LEDs, a main reflection board 12 which reflects light emitted from the plurality of the enclosing type optical media, and a semitransparent board 11 which transmits light reflected by the main reflection board 12 and which is disposed with a specified angle to the main reflection board 12. A first side reflection board 13 and a second side reflection board are provided. The plurality of the LEDs are fixed with each other by a rear board 15. A triangular pyramidal cavity is formed by the main reflection board 12, the semitransparent board 11, the first and the second side reflection boards and the rear board 15. |
