The cylinder head structure (1) for an internal combustion motor has a cylinder head housing (2) with at least one inlet channel (12) and outlet channel for each cylinder, each with their inlet/outlet valves. The valve operating mechanism is contained within a housing with the camshaft, fitted to the laying surface (8) at the cylinder head. A shaft is at the axis (5) of each cylinder for the component extending into each combustion zone, such as the fuel injector. Side surfaces (14) support the inlet and exhaust manifolds. The cylinder head structure (1) is in a modular construction for a unified cylinder head housing (2) to be fitted with a variety of valve drive housings.
