PURPOSE: The method for debugging a remote system using a portable operator terminal is provided to directly debug the remote system through the portable operator terminal, so as to rapidly manage a remote system error. CONSTITUTION: The portable operator terminal interfaces with an ethernet port through a LAN cable(211). The portable operator terminal checks whether a debugging command is inputted from an operator(213). If so, the portable operator terminal performs a debugging program(215). The portable operator terminal displays a debugging target setup requesting message(217). The portable operator terminal checks whether a debugging target setup is performed from the operator(219). If so, the portable operator terminal loads a link file to a remote system through the LAN cable(221). The remote system downloads the link file loaded from the portable operator terminal(223). If a downloading is completed, a message that the downloading is completed is transmitted to the portable operator terminal(225). The portable operator terminal receives a download completing message, and transmits the debugging command to the remote system(227). The remote system performs a debugging(229). If a debugging performance is completed, the remote system transmits debugged result data to the portable operator terminal(233).
