PURPOSE: A water bottle cap having a perforation and slits is provided to prevent the cap from being damaged during the transportation of the water bottle, while eliminating the necessity of using exclusive tools for forming the perforation on the cover. CONSTITUTION: A water bottle cap(10) has a perforation(15) formed at the center of the cap, and slits(20) formed in the radial direction from the perforation. The perforation and the slit have the thickness not exceeding half of the thickness of the upper portion of the cap. The cap has more than four slits, if necessary. When a water bottle is sealed with the cap, the contents in the water bottle is not split even when pressure is applied to the water bottle cap.
