APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING CONTROL MESSAGES BETWEEN BASE STATION CONTROLLER AND BASE STATION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: The apparatus and method for transmitting control messages between a base station controller and a base station in mobile communications system is provided to reduce the loss possibility of control messages by the usage of an unstable transmission line and to increase the reliability of control message transmission between a base station controller and a base station by transmitting the control messages to the base station through the most reliable transmission line and by storing and managing transmission results in a database. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for transmitting control messages between a base station controller and a base station in mobile communications system consists of a database(11), a message transmission unit(12), a message transmission result processing unit(13) and a database modification processing unit(14). The database(11) stores the reliability of transmission lines between a base station controller and a base station(20). The message transmission unit(12) determines the most reliable transmission line by analyzing the reliability of transmission lines and transmits control messages to the base station(20) through the determined transmission line. The message transmission result processing unit(13) receives and processes transmission results for the control messages transmitted from the base station(20). The database modification processing unit(14) reflects the processed transmission results to the reliability of transmission lines stored in the database(11).
