A composition (I) for use as an anti-infective agent in the upper respiratory tract comprise (by weight) (a) 0.0005-0.5 % polihexanide, (b) 0.2-10% dexpanthenol, (c) 0.05-2% polysorbate 80, (d) 25-50% sea water and (e) purified water to 100%.
