PURPOSE: A method for producing (meth)acrylic acid is provided to obtain a highly concentrated acrylic acid-containing solution while reducing loss of acrylic acid, to prevent deterioration of a catalyst caused by the acid contained in a recycled gas and to simplify the processing steps. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing (meth)acrylic acid comprises the steps of: performing a catalytic vapor phase oxidation of raw materials(1) for (meth)acrylic acid; collecting (meth)acrylic acid; and recycling a part of the gas(32) discharged from the collection step into a reactor(20), and discharging the remaining gas out of the system as waste gas, wherein the concentration of the condensable materials contained in the recycled gas(34) is lower than the concentration of the condensable materials contained in the waste gas.
