PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an indefinite signal from being generated even when input open is set. SOLUTION: The input buffer with a cable detection function is provided with a differential circuit (1st transistor(TR) 51, 2nd TR 52, constant current source 53 and resistors 54, 55) that receives differential data consisting of 1st data Si11 and 2nd data Si12 and outputs an output signal So11 whose level is changed when a difference between a level of the 1st data Si11 and a level of the 2nd data Si12 indicates a prescribed value and a conversion circuit 58 that matches a level of the output signal So11 with a prescribed level band.
