PURPOSE: Disclosed is a convergent flow under control of a solenoid operated control valve controlling a cooling liquid in a time independent of work time of a friction joint, provide a multi-friction clutch concentrically cooling a clutch. CONSTITUTION: The friction device is provided with a fixed housing(12) and a drive member(21) rotatable around a common axial line. A concerned assembly unit is provided with also a friction disc pack(20) capable of action so as to connect and separate the driven member in a manner capable of transmitting and interrupting torque between the assembly unit and the drive member. A piston assembly unit(42) is supported in a clutch housing, and an expansible chamber is partitioned. The piston assembly unit is moved between engaged/ disengaged positions in response to a pressure of fluid in the expansible chamber, in this way, the pack is operated to connect and separate the driven member. A clutch pack is arranged in the stationary held housing(12) having a sealed opening part(58) arranged in a peripheral direction partitioning a cooling liquid chamber supplying to the pack a flow of cooling liquid convergent from the external diametric part to the internal diametric part.
