摘要 A plain bearing laminate has a bearing metal layer of lead-free copper alloy and a sliding layer of lead-free tin-copper alloy. A plain bearing laminate consists of a backing layer provided with a bearing metal layer, a diffusion barrier layer and an electroplated sliding layer, the bearing metal layer consisting of a lead-free copper alloy containing 50-95 wt.% copper and the sliding layer consisting of a lead-free tin-copper alloy containing 3-20 wt.% copper and 70-97 wt.% tin. An Independent claim is also included for a bearing shell production process comprising (a) casting of a lead-free copper bearing alloy on a steel strip; (b) thermomechanical treatment to obtain a fine grained bearing layer structure; (c) shaping to bearing shells; (d) electroless or electrochemical deposition of a diffusion barrier layer of nickel, nickel/nickel-tin or cobalt; and (e) electrodeposition of a 5-20 mu m thick lead-free tin-based sliding layer from a ternary, fluoroborate and brightener free electroplating bath with additions of nonionic wetting agents, free alkylsulfonic acid, a carboxylic acid-containing grain refiner and a fatty acid polyglycol ester.
