PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical-sound synthesizing device capable of producing natural variations in tone caused by positional variations in a string-scraping point in the operation of performing a string-scraping musical instrument. SOLUTION: In performing a string-scraping musical instrument, the position of a string-scraping point seems to be maintained at a constant ratio. However, microscopically, the string-scraping point minutely changes its position to left or right in the string direction at all times. When a left-hand delay (DL) is increased or decreased by the minute movement of the string-scraping point along the string direction, a right-hand delay (DR) is decreased or increased by the same amount. A random signal generated in a variation signal generating part 11, when it is passed through a filter part 12, is given a frequency characteristic by being controlled by a bow pressure (PB) and by a bow velocity (VB). Its output level is controlled in a multiplier 16 by the bow pressure (PB), by the bow velocity (VB), and by a total delay(TD), to provide a delay variation (ΔL). |
