The carton for packing a lamp is formed by folding a blank into a box shape. The end walls (17, 18) have an outer set of tabs (20, 21) and an inner set (22, 23). These have fold lines (24) which allow one of the outer tabs to be positioned inside the front wall (4) and one of the inner tabs to be positioned inside the back wall (6). An Independent claim is included for method for producing the carton by folding the blank.
