The structural component (1) consists of at least one skin field formed from a number of structural elements (e.g. 21, 22, 31-36, 41-45, 51-53). These elements can be selected in accordance with the requirements of stresses in the material and of the required thickness. They can be connected to each other by welding at the joints.
