摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a method for the production of a liquid crystal display device by which the device can be produced in a simple production process, in a short time and with high productivity, the gap between substrates can be made uniform and generation of air bubbles between the substrates can be sufficiently suppressed. CONSTITUTION: The step of laminating a substrate 21b with a liquid crystal composition 28 interposed on a substrate 21a with an adhesive material under pressure is carried out in the following way. While the substrate 21a with deposition of the liquid crystal composition 28 is supported on a hot plate 30, portions of the flexible substrate 21b are successively laminated under pressure to the other substrate by a heating and pressurizing roller 52 moving relative to the substrate 21b with spacer particles distributed in such a manner that the impulse F on each spacer particle ranges 0.001 gf.sec=<F=<0.1 gf.sec, that the parameter X relating to heating by the roller 52 ranges 200=<X=<300, and (or) that the proportion S of the area of the spacer particles 25 per unit area of the substrate is >=0.003.
