PURPOSE: A method for matching an upper rank protocol to a high speed serial bus is provided to efficiently transmit data packets of a communication application to IEEE 1394 bus while maintaining a transparency so that it can efficiently use channel resources. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a matron searching for an entry corresponding to an IP address in a matron note if data packets are transmitted from an external application(300), checking if channels are allocated on the corresponding entry(302), the matron reading channel data and transmitting the data to the channel in the case that channels are allocated on the corresponding entry(306), then the matron performing an isochronous stream service(308), and checking if a length of a packet is less than or equal to an MTU(Maximum Transfer Unit) in the case that channels are allocated on the corresponding entry(304).
