PURPOSE: A data structure of motion picture for searching and browsing contents-based motion picture is provided so that a user can search and understand the contents of the motion picture more conveniently by showing the primary characters and the relations between the characters. CONSTITUTION: A visual DS(201), as a visual description scheme, includes a data structure of a syntactic structure DS(202) and a semantic structure DS(203). The syntactic structure DS(202) describes information meaning a period of real motion picture and the semantic structure DS(203) describes information of motion picture in meaning. The syntactic structure DS(202) comprises segment DSs(204), as a period of real motion picture and denotes a position through a time DS(205). The semantic structure DS(203) has an event DS(206) meaning an event, an object OS(207) for representing object information such as characters or places, and an event/object relation graph DS(208). |
