PURPOSE: Disclosed is a cadmium-free hard brazing filler alloy. CONSTITUTION: The alloy includes 45 to 75 mass % Ag, 10 to 30 mass % Cu, less than 20 mass % Ga, 1 to 25 mass % Zn, less than 6 mass % Sn and/or In, 0.1 to 8 mass % Mn or 0.1 to 3 mass % Si and/or Ge, and less than 5 mass % in total of other alloy components depending on cases. Thus the brazing filler alloy is effective in particular on the brazing of hard alloys due to its low working temperature and excellent wettability.
