PURPOSE: Disclosed is a slot array antenna with cavity, which forms a slot on a dielectric substrate, which can ignore connection between slots, whose directional characteristic is satisfactory and whose structure is simple. CONSTITUTION: A slot array antenna with cavity(1) has a slot antenna part(10) having a micro strip line being a feeding line formed on one face of a dielectric substrate and plural slots(14a,14b,14c,14d) which are formed on the other face of the dielectric substrate in an array shape and are formed to be orthogonal across the dielectric substrate with respect to the micro strip line and a reflection board with cavity(40), which has the cavity having an opening facing a plane where the plural slots(14a,14b,14c,14d) exist. When the width of the cavity is narrow so that it is cut off, the slot array antenna with cavity(1), whose directional characteristic is optimum, is realized.
