PURPOSE: The charging cradle for transmitting and receiving data is provided to possess both data transmitting/receiving function and charging function. CONSTITUTION: The charging cradle(20) includes a mounting part(22) to mount a portable phone. Inside of the charging cradle(20), a power charging part(30) and a data transmitting/receiving part(40) is provided. The power charging part(30) is composed of various elements and a circuit to charge the battery pack of a portable phone(1) with power. The connection between the charging cradle(20) and a power source is achieved by a power cable(55). A connection jack is equipped at one end of the power cable(55). At the other end of the power cable(55) a power plug(57) is provided. The data transmitting/receiving part(40) is provided as a kind of interface for data transmission between the portable phone(1) and an external device. An operation button(45) for the operation of the data transmitting/receiving part(40) is installed at a side of the charging cradle(20).
