PURPOSE: Encoding and Decoding methods of an extended TFCI are provided to perform an encoding and decoding so that an extended TFCI information has an optimal code capability. CONSTITUTION: In an encoding method of an extended TFCI, a TFCI information for a transmission signal is input. A basic code constituting the TFCI information depending on a bit number of the input TFCI information and the number of an added mask code are controlled. The TFCI information is mapped as to have a desired bit sequence. In the decoding method of the extended TFCI, the encoded extended TFCI code is received from a transmission side. Depending on the basic vector and mask code used upon encoding of the received extended TFCI code, the corresponding portion of bits is decoded with a reverse-Hadamard transformation.
