PURPOSE: A recording medium, and a device and a method for reproducing the same are provided to reproduce bits of information recorded in plural recording layers on various reproducing modes. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with the first recording layer(4) for recording first information, and a second recording layer(6) for recording second information. The first or second information is read from an optical disk(1) having identification signal recorded therein to indicate at least whether or not to operate and reproduce the first or second information recorded in either one of the first or second recording layer(4 or 6), the reproducing operation of a data mixing part(57), that the first information and second information are supplied, is switched based on the identification signal read from the optical disk(1), the first and second bits of information are operated and outputted as reproducing signals, or each of the first and second bits of information is outputted. |
