PURPOSE: A method for setting up a call in a mobile communication network is provided to supply only address information of the second VLR(Visited Location Register) of an incoming MS(Mobile station) to the first VLR of an originating MS, without detecting location information of the incoming MS from the second VLR. Therefore, a signal load between networks can be reduced and a time necessary for call setup can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: According to a call setup request message supplied from an originating MS(Mobile Station)(MS-A), the first VLR(Visited Location Register)(VLR-A) in which the originating MS(MS-A) is located detects an address of the second VLR(VLR-B) in which an incoming MS(MS-B) is located. The first VLR(VLR-A) delivers the call setup message to the second VLR(VLR-B), according to the detected address. According to the call setup message, the second VLR(VLR-B) supplies the call setup message and a TLDN(Temporary Location Directory Number) for the incoming MS(MS-B) to an MSC(MSC-B) in which the incoming MS(MS-B) is located. The MSC(MSC-B) pages the incoming MS(MS-B) according to the TLDN, and delivers the call setup message. A connection message from the originating MS(MS-A) transmitted correspondingly to the call setup message, and a call between the originating MS(MS-A) and the incoming MS(MS-B) is set up. |
