PURPOSE: To enable a user to confirm his/her selected image without interrupting the TV broadcast images when these images displayed on an image display device are printed. CONSTITUTION: When an instruction is inputted from an instruction input part 29 for printing the images displayed on a display monitor 3, the image data stored in a frame memory 27 are outputted from a print data output part 30 as the print data and also the image data stored in the memory 27 are synthesized with the data on the next image supplied from a video/color signal circuit part 24. These synthetic image data are outputted from a display data output part 25 as the display data, and a slave screen of a picture-in-picture form, for example, is generated on the monitor 3. Then the print images are displayed on the slave screen.
