摘要 PURPOSE: A method for improving cutting and grinding characteristics of a diamond tool, and a diamond tool having superior cutting and grinding characteristics manufactured by the method are provided to improve cutting and grinding performance of a diamond tool by decreasing reduction of friction coefficient and preventing chip of material to be cut from being piled between diamond grains. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving cutting and grinding characteristics of a diamond tool comprises the process of coating a mixed powder in which one or more powders selected from the group consisting of graphite having an average particle size of 0.01 to 10 microns, PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), MoS2, WS2, and DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) powder are mixed to a thickness of 0.5 microns or less on surface of a diamond tool having a centerline average roughness of 0.1 to 100 microns by burnishing or vacuum deposition method. A diamond tool having superior cutting and grinding characteristics is manufactured by coating a mixed powder in which one or more powders selected from the group consisting of graphite having an average particle size of 0.01 to 10 microns, PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), MoS2, WS2, and DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) powder are mixed to a thickness of 0.5 microns or less on surface of a diamond tool having a centerline average roughness of 0.1 to 100 microns by burnishing or vacuum deposition method.
