<p>A rolling bearing, characterized in that at least one of an inner ring, an outer ring and a rolling element is produced from a steel material and formed into a predetermined shape, the steel material containing, as alloy components, 0.8 to 1.2 wt % of C, 0.5 to 2.5 wt % of Si, 0.7 to 1.5 wt % of Cr, 0.8 to 2.0 wt % of Mo, and 0.3 to 1.2 wt % of Mn, with the proviso that the ratio of Mo to Cr (Mo/Cr; wt ratio) is 1.1 or more, and then is subjected to a quenching and a tempering at a temperature of 240 to 350°C, so that the raceway surface and/or rolling contact thereof have a Vickers hardness (HV) of 720 or more. The rolling bearing has high resistance to wear at a high temperature and can be produced at a low cost.</p> |
