The invention relates to a magnetic injector for accumulator fuel injection systems comprising a control chamber (24) that is connected to a fuel inlet (12); a valve needle (26) having a shaft end (32) bordering on the control chamber (24), in addition to a solenoid valve (36) having a first electromagnet (46), an armature (50), a valve chamber (38) that is connected by a first passage to a fuel outlet (14) and that is connected by a second passage (42) to the control chamber (24). Said injector also comprises a throttle body (40) that is located in the valve chamber (38) and connected to the armature (50). When the injector is in a non-operating position, said throttle body (40) is maintained in an end position blocking one of the two passages and is moved to a second end position by exciting the first magnet (46). The solenoid valve (36) has a second electromagnet (48) which acts upon the armature (50) in the opposite sense in relation to the first electromagnet (46) when it is excited. The throttle body (40) is configured in such a way that it blocks the other (42) passage in its second end position and unblocks both passages as it moves between both end positions.
