The assembly device has a base part (1) with a tool at one end for temporarily fixing onto a window pane. At the other end is a displaceable stop face (4) intended to bear against the window board. A support foot (3) aligned parallel to the contact bearing face (23) of the tool is attached to the base part. The window board is pressed in sections on its underneath by pressure-exerting devices up against the stop face and a foamable material is introduced into the cavities between window board and wall. The pressure exerting devices are removed and then the remaining hollow spaces are filled with the swelling foam.
