ACTIVE PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL USING OPERATION CIRCUIT AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An active plasma display panel using an operation circuit and a method of driving the same are provided each cell of which includes a micro-circuit type operation circuit to be able to store data or information used for discharge for one frame, enabling active driving of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: A micro-circuit (32) is constructed in each cell(30) of a plasma display panel to drive the plasma display panel in an active mode that maintaining display information for the period of one frame. The micro-circuit can control each cell independently. The micro-circuit includes a memory for storing input video data, an operation circuit for operating the video data stored in the memory to generate a cell driving control signal, and a switching element which is switched by the cell driving control signal to provide a cell driving signal to each cell.
