PURPOSE: A method for receiving broadcasting information using a video is provided to receive broadcasting signal of a broadcasting station which a viewer watches currently and broadcasting information of other broadcasting stations by connecting the video to a TV and using one tuner without installing a special main tuner for receiving broadcasting information in the TV. CONSTITUTION: If the broadcasting signal which the user watches currently is signal inputted from the outside, a tuner is switched to sensing mode automatically. A switching part outputs broadcasting signal tuned by the tuner to a broadcasting information decoder, and outputs signal inputted from the outside to an image processing part by controlling signal of a sensing mode determining part. Then, the broadcasting information decoder decodes broadcasting information, and displays external input signal on TV screen. If the broadcasting signal which the user watches currently is TV broadcasting signal, the sensing mode determining part determines whether the sensing mode which senses external input signal is being operated. If the sensing mode is being operated, the switching part selects and outputs broadcasting video signal tuned by the tuner and the signal inputted from the outside by sensing mode determining signal of the sensing mode determining part. |
