PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for receiving and transmitting user information by using a DTMF of a mobile radiophone are provided to receive and transmit user information in real time during a telephone call. CONSTITUTION: If a user information transmission mode setting request command is received from a user during a telephone call, a control part sets a user information transmission mode in a mobile radiophone(200,202). If the user inputs user information with a key matrix of a key pad part, the control part converts the user information into a DTMF signal and transmits the DTMF signal to the other person wirelessly(208,210). The control part decodes the DTMF signal received from the other person for restoring user information by controlling a DTMF analyzing part and a DTMF decoding part. Thereafter, the control part displays user information in a display part, so that the user sees user information transmitted from the other person during the telephone call.
