PURPOSE: A wavelength multiplexing apparatus and method of fabricating the apparatus are provided to respectively attache continuous-variable type interference thin-film filters to two optical blocks and to align the optical blocks, thereby easily separating a desired wavelength from other wavelengths. CONSTITUTION: The first and second interference thin-film filters(110,210) each of which has a continuous variable thickness are formed on the first face of the first optical block(100) and the first face of the second optical block(200), respectively. An optical signals with multiple wavelengths is incident on the first face of the first optical block while the second face of the first optical block and the second face of the second optical block are in contact with each other. Here, the wavelengths transmitting the first and second interference thin-film filters are checked while one of the first and second optical blocks is being moved, to find a position where a desired wavelength transmits the first and second interference thin-film filter. Then, the first face of the first optical block is attached to the second face of the second optical block, to fabricate a wavelength multiplexing apparatus.
