PURPOSE: To provide a synthetic resin clerical clip, in the pinching operation with which no slippage of paper sheets develops and a pinched state with which is surely maintained. CONSTITUTION: A supporting piece 2, at the tip of which a piece 2a overlapping with a base plate 1 is equipped, is connected with the base plate 1. To the intermediate part of the supporting piece 2, a pinching piece 3, between which and the base plate a paper sheet is pinched due to its elastic deformation, is connected. To the tip of the piece 2a, a pivoting piece 8, which is produced by connecting an operating piece 8a and a pressing piece 8b to their intersecting direction, is connected through a hinge 7 at the connecting part 8' between the operating piece 8a and the pressing 8b. In addition, the length between the tip of the pressing piece 8b of the pivoting piece 8 and the connecting part 8' is set to be larger than the width of a gap 4 made between the piece 2a and the pinching piece 3.
