PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately calculate a prize ball rate and a start winning rate calculated in a control device according to control states of opening/closing of a regular variable winning device with a starting hole. SOLUTION: When a regular symbol time shortening state is finished, if the opening/closing of the regular variable winning device is controlled in a state more advantageous for a player than that of the regular state in the the regular symbol time shortening state, a game control device 11 retains the game state advantageous for the player after finishing the regular symbol time shortening state till finishing the opening/closing control. At a time when the opening/closing control is finished, the game state is changed from one advantageous for the player to the state of executing the regular opening/closing control. On the other hand, this game machine outputs a regular symbol time shortening signal indicating the regular symbol time shortening state to the control device for an extended period after finishing the regular symbol time shortening state by a time while the opening/closing control advantageous for the player is executed. Even after the finishing of the regular symbol time shortening state, while the opening/closing of the regular variable winning device is controlled in the state of advantageous for the player, the control device determines it as the regular symbol time shortening state and calculates the prize ball rate and the start winning rate.
