The method involves placing a coprocessor in a default error mode from the commencement of the execution of a control accomplished by the coprocessor. The execution of the control is monitored so as to detect an event execution error. The error mode is modified by changing an error signal to an inactive state, if an error is not detected in the execution of the control, else the error mode is maintained. The error mode is declared outside the coprocessor if a determined event is produced when the coprocessor is in the error mode.
