PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for removing an interference from double bit rate data are provided to cancel a mutual interference from data having a double bit rate. CONSTITUTION: L numbers of high speed data are inputted to L numbers of high speed data interference cancelers(45) in parallel. Accordingly, as data bits are outputted from the high speed data interference cancelers(45) by the M1 persons, the total output bit number of high speed data becomes M1L. Afterwards, a low speed data interference cancellation part(44) cancels interferences for low speed data. If interference cancellation for low speed data is completed, only a low speed data interference canceler(48) is enough. Accordingly, signals equivalent to M2 persons are outputted as the output of the low speed data interference canceler(48). The low speed data interference cancellation part(44) includes L-1 numbers of delays(46), an accumulator(47), and the low speed data interference canceler(48). The delays(46) delay the low speed data outputted from the high speed data interference cancelers(45) in order to adjust timing. The accumulator(47) accumulates the low speed data outputted from each delay(46).
