<p>An air scrubbing apparatus and method having multiple purification stages. The method of purification involves a mixing stage 104, where paint-laden exhaust air 102 with a composition to create mixed air with droplets of the solution and dissolved paint. The mixture passes to a settling stage 106 where heavier droplets settle out. The mixture then enters a rotor stage 108 where droplets are removed by the rotor blades. This scrubbed air is then passed through a mist eliminating stage 110. Solution from stages 106, 108 and 110 are drained into a holding tank 114, and a recirculating pump 116 supplies said solution to the mixing stage 104. The apparatus may have shaped baffles (214, fig. 2) and a venturi (522, fig. 5) amongst other features.</p> |
