PURPOSE: An active plasma display panel is provided to charge the data voltage to the data assistant electrode stably by supplying the regular reference voltage to the data assistant electrode by using a diode and a scanning electrode, which are connected in series to the data assistant electrode. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a sustaining electrode(36) is formed on an upper board(10) and a data assistant electrode(32) and a scanning electrode(34) are formed on the lower dielectric layer(24) and the diode(D) is connected between the assistant electrode(32) and the scanning electrode(34). The capacitor(C) of each cell is formed by the data electrode(22) between the scanning electrode(34) and the lower dielectric layer(24). The scanning electrode(34) and the diode(D) supply the reference voltage to the data assistant electrode(32) and data voltage is charged thereby and the data assistant electrode(32) becomes a floating electrode to sustain the charged voltage. In this case the reference voltage is permitted to the data assistant electrode(32) through the diode(D) when the voltage of the positive electrode(+) is permitted to the scanning electrode(34). The sustaining electrode(36) and the scanning electrode(34) make the sustaining charge. |
