PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a door free not only for a physically normar person but also for a wheelchair user having a trouble in one hand to operate the door rather more easily by opening it by improving freedom of opening operation in the opening cross direction while miniaturizing a door opening and closing device and reducing manufacturing and distributing cost of it and to more advantageously constitute even in an outer appearance designing aspect. SOLUTION: An opening and closing device for a door 5 to move in the opening cross direction of a garnish rim while the door 5 revolves around a third vertical shaft center in accordance with opening and closing operation of the door 5 is constituted by providing a main operating tool 18 for door opening and closing on a front and a back on the other side part side in the opening cross direction of the door garnish rim out of the door 5, providing an auxiliary operating tool 20 for door opening and closing on at least one of the front and the back on the one side part side in the opening cross direction of the door garnish rim and arranging an interlocking means 31 to work to engage and disengage an engagement part interlocked with selective operation of the auxiliary operating tool 20 and the main operating tool 18 in the door 5.
