PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor joist construction and a double floor construction capable of offering excellent sound insulation and quietness as well as height adjustment function thereby quickening the construction work on the job site and enhancing the reliability. SOLUTION: These constructions comprise a pedestal 2 consisting of an elastic member, a support bolt 3 supported upright by the pedestal, a floor joist 4 made from a long-sized member to which a through-hole 4a is formed at the middle portion in a longitudinal direction, and a female screw member 5 fixed inside the through-hole 4a, a support bolt 3 supported upright is screwed to a female screw member 5 thereby constituting the floor joist unit 1. This floor joist unit 1 is arranged on a concrete slab 11, a floor panel 21 is separated from a wall 12 and fixed on the floor joist 4 thereby constituting a double floor construction.
