PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic light in touch when it is used and not sticky after use, excellent in persistence of a moisturizing effect and excellent in moisturizing effect after washed by water, excellent in the effect of improving skin roughness, giving the skin a tension as well, and excellent in storage stability. SOLUTION: This skin cosmetic contains (a) a polymer formed by polymerizing a monomer composition comprising a compound expressed by the formula [R1 is H or methyl; R2, R3 and R4 are each a 1-8C alkyl; (n) is 2-4] and an (meth)acrylic alkyl ester in an amount of 0.0001-10 wt.%, (b) an acidic mucopolysaccharide in an amount of 0.001-3 wt.%, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol or its partially esterified compound in an amount of 0.1-30 wt.%, wherein a weight ratio of the compound of the formula to the (meth)acrylic alkyl ester in the monomer composition is 95/5 to 10-90, and the polymer contains the above monomer composition in an amount of 60-100 wt.%.
