PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment easy to use by an operator by allowing an action to be taken in time sequence by the operator to be matched with a menu item in a user interface system for remote control of a bipedal walking robot. SOLUTION: This user interface system for operator to remotely control a bipedal walking robot is formed so as to communicate images between a bipedal walking robot having a video camera mounted thereon and a display installed at a position apart from the robot, and comprises an operation menu based on a cognitive action model for the operator. The operation menu comprises a module for three phases, i.e., situation recognition, action plan, and execution of action for each of the movement control and operation control of the bipedal walking robot. The operation menu is displayed simultaneously with the actual images focused from a plurality of cameras mounted on the bipedal walking robot.
