PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely measure cnemial muscular strength in a short time by an inexpensive device by installing a muscular strength gauge on a chain extended between a middle foot condyle part and a thigh part of the human body, and constituting so as to tow this muscular strength gauge by force applied to a rod from the thigh part. SOLUTION: In measuring cnemial muscular strength, a subject sits down on a chair, and feet are placed at a middle foot condyle part of both feet on steps 5 arranged on a device body 1 in the shape of protruding heels from the steps 5. At this time, a height is adjusted by mounting/demounting of the steps 6 so that a thigh part becomes almost parallel to a floor. Next, a pad 2 placed on pad holders 4 is placed on the thigh part of both feet, and the length of a chain 7 for connecting the pad 2 and a muscular strength gauge 3 installed in the center of the steps 5 is adjusted according to the cnemical length. The height is adjusted by inserting a pin 9 into one of a large number of holes of a perforated rod 8 fixed with the upper end of the chain 7. In this state, force is applied to the thigh part to measure the cnemial muscular strength by the muscular strength gauge 3.
