PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle which has a male and a female member readily engageable with each other, and which permits its release only to a particular operator having a releasing member with him. SOLUTION: This buckle has: a male member A having an attaching part 10 for a strip D and having an insertion part Aa provided with an elastic engaging piece; a female member B having an attaching part 50 for the strip D and a cylindrical part 40 for receiving the insertion part Aa from one side thereof, with the cylindrical part 40 having both a guide part for warping the elastic engaging piece inserted into the cylindrical part 40 and a through hole which is sprung back into engagement, the female member B being provided with an elastic lock piece 75 at a slit 76 communicating the inside to the outside of the cylindrical part 40, the elastic lock piece 75 being warped by insertion of the insertion part Aa into the cylindrical part 40 and sprung bag into engagement with the engaging part 32 of the insertion part Aa; and an unlocking member C having a hooked part 82 which is hooked to the elastic lock piece 75 in such a manner that the side of the elastic lock piece 75 engaged with the engaging part 32 can be floated from the cylindrical part 40.
