PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use antithrombin III capable of reducing or at least suppressing the migration of leukocyte or the like at the time of stimulation or induction by a chemokine, e.g. interleukin-8, for the therapy of disease, especially neoplastic disease, the disease accompanied with vascularization, etc. SOLUTION: Antithrombin III is used for prophylaxis and therapy of a disease, especially a disease accompanied with neoplastic disease and vasularization, immune complex-inducing disease (e.g. vasculitis and granulomatous disease), autosmmune disease (e.g. systemic lupus erythematodes, chronic rheumatism and pemphigus), virus infectious disease (e.g. HIV), fibrotic and granulomatous disease, allergic disease (e.g. bronchial asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis and dermatitis), degenerative disease of nervous system (Alzheimer' s disease), arteriosclerosis, acute inflammatory disease and trauma. The antithrombin III obtained from plasma or by expressing a recombinant or transduced gene is preferably used.
