PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file folder in which a locking means is not loosed and the means is not returned even by an influence of an elasticity of a hinge material. SOLUTION: The file folder comprises a first sheet 2 made of a hard material having first, second edges and two side edges 14, a second sheet 3 made of a hard material having first, second edges and two side edges 15, a back part 4 flexibly coupling the first sheet to the second sheet each other at the first edges, a flap 5 made of a hard material coupled at least to the one second edge of the sheet and directed inward, a coupling side plate 7 for coupling the flap to at least one side edge of the sheet so as to maintain the flap at a distance from at least one of the sheets, and a locking element 26 inserted to the flap and at least the one side edge of the sheet in such a manner that the locking element is made of an independent element separate from the coupling side plate.
