PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a critical operation situation at an early stage and to secure safety by arranging a wheel load sensor detecting a wheel load on each wheel, connecting the wheel load sensors to a monitoring device, and allowing the monitoring device to cooperate with a baggage lift system and/or a travel drive system. SOLUTION: A counterweight type forklift truck of this fixed platform truck is provided with a front lift frame H and a load receiving device L, a wheel load sensor is arranged on each of the front and rear wheels 2, 4 of the vehicle, and a revolving speed sensor is arranged on each of at least two wheels. The outputs of these sensors are inputted to a common monitoring device, and the load lift system and travel drive system 8 (a brake device and a steering device) of the fixed platform truck are controlled via this monitoring device. Lateral inclining force and longitudinal inclining force are obtained by an evaluating device in the monitoring device, the steering radius of the platform truck is detected, and the load lift and travel speed are controlled based on the detected result.
