PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cement admixture having excellent expansive performance, good storage stability, and accordingly, high quality sustainable over a long period and also to obtain a cement composition containing the admixture. SOLUTION: This cement admixture contains, as its main constituent compounds, free lime, hauyne and anhydrous gypsum and comprises an expansive material (main constituent material) having a chemical composition which consists of >=57 wt.% CaO, 5-15 wt.% Al2O3 and <=28 wt.% SO3 on the basis of 100 wt.% of the total of these three components, i.e., CaO, Al2O3 and SO3 and also contains <2 wt.% MgO on the basis of 100 wt.% of the total components of the expansive material, and fatty acids and/or their salts (minor constituent materials). Further, the cement composition contains cement and the cement admixture.
