PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation check unit which can check a plurality of output elements or the output terminals thereof easily for disconnection, short circuit or other abnormality. SOLUTION: The timing generator 24 of an operation check unit has a terminal 25 connected through a bonding pad with the control signal electrode 9 of 304 drivers 2 (2-0,..., 2-303) being driven individually just in case of a normal controller. One probe 18 is brought into contact simultaneously with all output terminals, i.e., inner pads 4, of the driver 2. The probe 18 is connected with an inspection voltage V1 through a pull-up resistor 22 and branched to be connected with a detector 19. The timing generator 24 turns the drivers 2 on sequentially and notifies the detector 19 to this effect. The detector 19 makes a decision that the operation is normal if the GND potential is inputted when the driver 2 is turned on otherwise the operation is abnormal. The detector 19 also makes a decision that the operation is normal if the voltage V1 is inputted when the driver 2 is turned off otherwise the operation is abnormal.
